Hi there! My name is Zoe, I’m a high school senior from NYC. This website is mainly about my ceramics, which are designed to be held and appreciated in their use. I try to capture the relationship between beauty and functionality, and what aesthetic simple functionality can give a piece. My philosophy of practical aesthetics is something I’ve derived from an admiration of nature and natural history, which I’ve been obsessed with since childhood. Other hobbies include listening to audiobooks and podcasts, like the Illuminae series or Archive 81 (I’m a big fan of the sci-fi and horror genres), hiking, cooking & baking, and completing my biome exploration project in survival Minecraft.
